Common questions

Straight answers about hours, insurance, stairs, children and first visits. If your question is not here, call the office.

Do you see children?
Yes. We see both children and adults in the same office.
Do you take my insurance?
The office lists Delta Dental, Aetna, MetLife, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, United Health Care, Humana, Healthplex, GHI, GEHA, Magnacare, Principal, Lincoln Dental and Crossroads, plus the union funds 32BJ, 1199 and DC37, and DentaQuest plans including Medicaid, Healthfirst, Fidelis and Affinity. Call with the plan on your card and we will confirm yours.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
Call and tell us what you need. We will explain the options before you book.
Are you open on the weekend?
We are open Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Saturday. Monday through Thursday we are open until 7:00 PM, and Friday until 5:00 PM.
Where is the office?
103-43 Lefferts Blvd, second floor, above the check cashing. Lefferts Braces is next door at 103-45, so check the number before you come up.
How do I get an appointment?
Call (718) 843-5500. Our staff will help you choose an appointment time.
Do you do emergencies?
Call and tell us what is going on. If a tooth is hurting today we would rather hear from you today than next week.
Is there an elevator?
The office is on the second floor and you take the stairs up. If stairs are a problem for you or someone you are bringing, say so when you call so we can plan for it.
Can I bring my kids to my own appointment?
Yes. We see children and adults in the same office, so a family does not need two appointments in two different places.
What should I bring the first time?
Your insurance card and a list of any medications you take. That is enough to get started.
How long does a cleaning take?
Usually about an hour for a first visit, because we look at everything and take x rays if they are needed. Call and we will tell you what to expect for your visit.
